This Privacy Policy explains how Jaka LLC, which operates the ElevatorApp website and services (“ElevatorApp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our website, use our mobile application for iOS and Android (the “app”), or use our services. By using the website, the app, or the services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is part of, and should be read together with, the ElevatorApp Terms and Conditions and the terms of each specific service.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to our website, users of our app, and customers who request our services, including building owners, property managers, and others who use ElevatorApp. Our services are intended for businesses and individuals located in the United States and are directed to persons who are at least 18 years of age.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you create an account, request a service, or communicate with us, we may collect:
- Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, telephone or mobile number, company or organization name, and mailing address;
- Property and equipment information, such as building address, elevator or equipment details, and related records you provide;
- Materials you submit for a service, such as photographs, video, documents, proposals, invoices, contracts, and inspection or violation notices;
- Communications, such as messages, requests, and information you share by phone, email, text, or through the website; and
- Payment information, which is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and not stored by ElevatorApp.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the website or the app, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, device, browser, and operating system type, app version, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and dates and times of access. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, as described in Section 4.
Mobile app permissions. If you use the app, it may ask for your permission to send push notifications and to access your device’s camera, photo library, and location. We collect and use this information only if you grant permission, and only to provide the features and services you request. You can change or withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings, although some features of the app may not work without them.
In-app messages. Messages sent through the app or the platform, including messages between you and an elevator service provider, are stored by us, and we may review them. Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as payment card numbers, in a message. Authorized office personnel of an elevator service provider can read messages sent by its technicians. Calls are not recorded. We keep call records, such as the date, time, and length of a call.
Provider information and job records.For Maintenance on Demand, we receive the company, license, and insurance information a provider enters and the job records it submits. We display the relevant provider information to buildings. Job records are delivered to the relevant building’s ElevatorApp record, and account permissions determine who can see them.
Information from third parties. We may receive limited information from service providers that help us operate, such as our payment processor and analytics providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and deliver the services you request;
- Communicate with you about your requests, including by phone, email, and text message;
- Process payments through our third-party payment processor;
- Operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the website and services, including through analytics;
- Protect the security and integrity of our website and services, and detect and prevent fraud or misuse;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
- Create de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you, which we may use for analysis and to improve our services.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Opt-Out Signals
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember your preferences, and understand how the website is used. We use Google Analytics to help us analyze website traffic and usage. - Elevator service providers. For services that involve contacting or introducing you to an elevator service provider, we share the information reasonably necessary for that purpose. Those providers are independent companies and handle your information under their own practices;
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms; and
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
6. Text Messages (SMS)
If you provide a mobile number, you authorize us to contact you by text message (SMS) about your requests and the services, as described in the applicable service terms. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for assistance. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, operate our business, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected. We may keep limited records that we need for legal obligations, fraud prevention, payment records, and legal claims, and service records that a building is entitled or required to keep. Closing an account, cancelling a subscription, and deleting personal information are different actions, and we will explain the effect of a request when you make it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under your state’s privacy law regarding your personal information. Many U.S. states, including Florida, Texas, and California, have comprehensive privacy laws that provide residents some or all of the following rights:

California residents. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” sale opt-out. California residents may still exercise the access, correction, deletion, and related rights described above, subject to verification.

11. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for persons who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The website may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control, including those of independent elevator service providers and our payment processor.
